Instructor Workload:  We’re Under Way! (.pdf)
The inaugural submission for the new Instructor Workload exchange was opened a couple of weeks ago.  We will give a brief review of the submission and provide an opportunity for participants to discuss how their efforts to compile the data are going so far and to provide feedback.  On the fence about participating?  Come see what others are saying and give us a chance to convince you!

From Experimentation to Trust: Using AI Responsibly in Institutional Research (.pptx)
This session explores how IR offices can move from ad hoc experimentation toward responsible, sustainable use of AI that strengthens rather than undermines credibility. Practitioners from diverse institutional contexts will share how AI is currently being used in IR, where it has added value, and where clear boundaries are essential—particularly when working with sensitive, student‑level, or compliance‑related data. The panel will address practical governance questions facing IR leaders today, including how to distinguish low‑risk from high‑risk AI use cases, what “human‑in‑the‑loop” review looks like in practice, and how to document and communicate AI‑assisted work to leadership and auditors.

Institutional leadership and data: Where IR sits in the room where it happens
Is IR at the table? In the room? On speed dial? Where does your office sit in the organizational structure at your institution and how are you leveraging your relationship in AAUDE to guide decisions? Are you maintaining neutrality, offering advice, or are you in a position of advocacy? This panel brings together institutions from different states, governance, and history with AAUDE to showcase different perspectives on presenting data to leadership….Oh yeah, and since it’s 2026, we’ll probably have to say something about AI too.
